BMT Day 10
Once she got a morphine pump, Katie slept...from about 4 in the afternoon until this morning. The one time she was awake, she attempted to eat some chicken nuggets and apples from McDonald's (her favorite) but after taking one bite she said that they tasted bad and she couldn't eat them. Unfortunately she didn't feel up to doing much when Nana and Aunt Ashley were here. Today, she has slept through most of the day with some exceptions. She livened up some to do a craft and a little while Grandma and Grandpa were here. BUT...today she began saying that her ears hurt and her nose was running. Then this afternoon she spiked a fever (103). She then threw up the Tylenol that they gave her. Her fever has come down some...please pray that the fever is just related to her low blood counts and that she gets better soon. Thanks =)

Praying for you Christa as I know this is soo hard for you to see your baby girl hurting and there is nothing you can do. Thanks goodness for the morphine pump!! Hope her mouth gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteof course our prayers are with you as always. Hope she feels better tomorrow for the visit and you can relax a while. I know you are probably tired of hearing this but stay as strong and you can. Above all put all your worries on your prayers to God and let him take your worries for a while.

Hope the Morning Sun finds Katie feeling better and the fever goneee. Sorry for the seemingly backsets but in these times are when we see the hand of God the most. Have a great day and know we are keeping Katie and you in prayer believing and doubting not in our hearts that victory is Katies at God's perfect timing. Love, Lois Clyde and Logan
ReplyDeleteChrista I just had a thought. Have you or nurses tried the little pink sponge swabs on Katie. Eric used them when he had throat surg. and everything tasted horrible. I do no know if she can use them with her mouth being so sore but it helped him get food down. Just an idea for your sweet one. Praying today goes good.
